First I would like to say Fuck Justin Beiber. Fuck his fans, his hair, Usher for working with him, his movie, the guy who made his movie, and his fruity voice. A boy is not suppose to sound like a girl let alone look like one. And the fucked up thing is people are killing themselves for him. Just wait till he hits puberty and his bubble bursts. Had not seen my friend in 3 years and when i run into him he said he was going to see the Beiber movie with his girl instead of catching up. What a bitch, that's how you know your manhood is gone forever.
The story starts by saying 4 rb25 exhaust manifold studs cost 10 dollars brand new from Nissan. 10 fucking dollars. This winter I decided to go top mount on my engine and that meant i needed to remove my old manifold. Not knowing that, because of a lack of a flex pipe, Nissan exhaust studs (usually the front or rear ones) snap after years of extra pressure.
Sure you can try to drill them out but if your like me and God hates you that little extra you will notice that when the stud snapped it raped the thread so it requires machining. So what does this mean? Suddenly a 10 dollar studs problem becomes almost a 1000 dollars in parts and services. The head had 4 broken studs that require pro removal. So you need to remove the head, When you remove the head you need new engine gaskets and new headgasket, when you do a headgasket you should use ARP headstuds, while you do that might as well get a new timing belt kit, then a new water pump, port and polish the head, and before you know it your broke......FML.
A friend of mine once said "if your driving a tuner car and the engine runs smooth, the suspensions don't make a noise, or there is no leaking or burning smell then get out of your car cause its gonna blow up". This theory got tested and it proved to be true. My friends 300zx tt was running smooth till the water pump magically failed while i was running my RB with a failing timing belt for almost a year and nothing happened.
Does this mean you should stop working on cars? Fuck no. These things happen so often that its not even funny. At least I found out why my car was only boosting to 7psi on the stock turbo. One day I will buy a set of ARP exhaust studs but then something else will fuck up so on I go trying to finish this never ending project. More updates to come. ONCE again fuck Justin Beiber.
